Working on Improving Super Corporate Heroes volume 2

After a delay due to other projects, I was happy to get back to drawing Super Corporate Heroes volume 2: Memento Mori. I had drawn this particular page a few months ago, but when I got back to my drawing board I was no longer happy with it (a common occurrence).

Before and after page layouts

Practice makes perfect! Or at least an improvement. After reading some art books and doing many doodles, I improved on the angle to give more perspective and give the keyhole some depth. In panel 3, I wanted to give the impression that the key was going into a keyhole. It’s a deceptively hard shot. I also added more depth to panels 2 and 5. Here’s my before and after…

After working out some improvements (see above), I decided to finish my pencils and add shading. I’m much happier with the results…at least for now.

So that’s it for now. I hope you noticed a difference in the pages as well. I’ll keep practicing and improving.
