• Skill level: Intermediate
• Height: 8.3″ / 21 cm
• Hook: 2.5 mm
• 8mm black plastic safety eyes
• Black embroidery floss for eyebrows and mouth
• Yarn needle
• Polyester fiberfill (stuffing)
• White, black and red pieces of yarn
• Brown and red thread and a sewing needle
YARN INFO
• I like cotton yarn with a DK yarn weight, but use whatever you have. For Lucas I used acrylic yarn for his jacket, headband and pants (it’s what I had at the time).
• DK usually calls for a 4mm hook, but I prefer a 3mm or 2.5mm so the stitches are tight and you don’t see the stuffing.
• Cotton suggestion? Drops Musket or a similar 100% cotton mercerized yarn. Mercerized cotton is a special kind of cotton yarn that is more lustrous. It is also stronger, takes dye a little more readily and produces less lint (great for toys).
